Take a Quack at Scavenger Hunts in Your School

Monday in #edtech class we went on a group scavenger hunt using the GooseChase app. It was super easy to use! We took the pictures that prove completion right in the app so there is no complicated and lengthy uploading process. Any group member could complete a task and it gets marked as completed on each group member’s app. There are also sections like leader board and feed where you can see the progress of the other groups, their submissions and you can see the standings of each group. Incorporating personal devices into the scavenger hunt process makes the simple and possibly childish game into a more mature challenge. GooseChase could be great for use in any classroom, a scavenger hunt could be worked into almost any subject or unit. It gets kids up and moving and exploring. GooseChase could be used anywhere due to its app mobility and could be great on field trips. It could also be a great activity for a staff session or retreat. It encourages teamwork and collaboration as well as making these group activities fun, interactive and grounded in kinesthetics.
